I really love my daycare. It made me who I am today. It taught me that I'm basically nothing without God, and if I let Him out my life I will be lost. I remember the first scripture I learned: Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things, through Christ with strengthens me." That scripture will never leave my heart. Not only did my daycare teacher me Christian skills, but also speaking skills as well. My daycare teacher "mamama" always allowed me to sing and say mini speeches at either graduation or at another event. I really am thankful for having my daycare and my teacher in my life. They molded me to be the strong individual I am today. I think God directed me to take that path for school because eventually I graduated and--thanks to my teacher--I moved on to a private school that actually taught religion and always made God first in everything they would do. I loved my daycare! - Christina L. Wilks |
Matred Baker is affectionately known to many as Mamama. A name used by children and grownups alike. During the the early to mid 90's our son Lincoln was enrolled in the Precious Memories daycare, operated by Ma Baker and her daughter Deloris. Precious Memories was no ordinary daycare center, but was a place where mind, body and spirit were nurtured. Not only was our son provided warmth, love, and safety but he was surrounded by an atmosphere of godly living and godly instruction. We believe this godly instruction greatly assisted us in giving our son the right foundation and a strong foundation in the Lord. At present, by God's grace our 17 year old young man, strives to live for the Lord. He's actively involved in colporteur ministry and evangelism. To God be the glory! Thanks Mamama, God bless. - Emmanuel and Paulette Balfour |

My name is Corinna Jabouin and I was a student at Precious Memories Daycare, and I can honestly say the memories I have are truly precious. Matred baker our daycare teacher a.k.a "mamama" was a young-at-heart, loving, stern and an extremly patient woman. I can remember her taking her time with even the smallest things to make sure we not only knew what she was teaching us but that we had a full understanding of everything we learned. I can happily say that I am proud and grateful to have been a part of Precious Memories. The loving wisdom and knowledge imparted to me by "mamama" at such a young and tender age has made an everlasting impression upon my mind.. I count it priceless. My love and support will always be there for her. -Corinna Jabouin.I have worked with Sis Baker on numerous occasions in the context of children's ministry. It has been my privilege to work with her. She has a rare gift. The Spirit of God has given her knowledge, creativity, animation, sweetness, firmness and thoroughness to influence children positively and to impart biblical truths into their open minds and hearts. Children love her and love to be around her. God has blessed her to bring the Bible alive through scripture, song and story. I desire to learn as much as I can from her. I greatly enjoy working with her and have been blessed by her ministry. -Tabasuri Chapman |

Matred Baker is the best at what she does. Never before have I witnessed such a gift when it comes to educatung children. My three children have been transformed under her instruction. I seek her advice often on how to manage my children; and I am happy to report that every suggestion given has worked tremedously to bring about a positive change. God is truly using Mrs. Baker to prepare children to be the following: citizens of high moral character, highly intelligent, well-rounded and spiritually grounded in the true principles of God.
